Costumes

Yeah, this is definitely another one of those things that is off the beatin' path regarding motorcycling.  But hey, since I know how to do this stuff, it doesn't hurt to play around and create stuff.  What am I rambling about?  Why 3D modeling of course.  I'm a computer nerd so why not.

Also, this is partly because I find some folks out in the Internet modeling this stuff and selling it.  Really?  Yes, it takes time to do.  It's a challenge to go from 3 x photos or images into a 3D model, but if you know how to triangulate and have a little creativity, you can model almost anything.

Below are some free models for folks that are interested.  I created these models using Blender. Go get yourself a copy of Blender.  It's awesome!  Also, if you're planning on doing CosPlay, you'll also want to grab a piece of software called Pepakura.  Pepakura is awesome also.  The software allows you to take a 3D object and unfold it for printing in paper.  It's a great way to do paper models.  One last thing, we nice to those folks and support their cause.  Pay for the software.

Tie Fighter Helmet

Blender: tie-helmet-1.blend (hi-res), tie-helmet (simplified)
Pepakura: tie-helmet PDO
3ds: Tie Helmet 3DS
PDF: Tie Helmet PDF (Pepakura print out)

First Order Stormtrooper Helmet

Blender: 1st-Order
Pepakura: 1st-Order Pepakura
3ds: 1st-Order 3DS
PDF: 1st-Order PDF (Pepakura print out)

These file are free to the public.  Do with them as you like.  Just don't try to sell them, that's not nice.

Which Blender version am I using?  I'm still using 2.77.  I used to that interface.  Eventually I'll switch over to the 2.8*.* series, but I'm not in a hurry.
